Getsiz.ru presents a rating of the largest companies in the Russian market for personal protective equipment (PPE), prepared jointly with the Russian PPE Association (ASIZ). The list is compiled on the basis of Russian Statistics Agency’s data and information for 2017 provided directly by the companies.
This year we have expanded the rating to include not 30, but 50 distributors and manufacturers of workwear, footwear and PPE. A number of major market players, such as 3M, Honeywell, BTK, Komus, Deb-Stoko and Armakon, were not included in the rating due to the lack of data about the share of PPE in their sales. The list does not include operators supplying products to state-owned companies either.
The performance of the companies selling both their own products and third-party products, include the revenues from both types of sales. We would like to mention that the manufacturers of PPE amount to 66% (or 33 companies) of all companies in the chart, and the suppliers make up 34% (17 companies).
Geographically, the rating participants were distributed as follows: 20 companies (or 40% of the participants) represent Moscow, 6 companies (12%) are situated in the Moscow Region, and 5 companies (10%) in St. Petersburg. Another 3 companies (6%) are located in Ivanovo, 3 (6%) in the Perm Region, and the remaining 13 (26%) are scattered over Leningrad Region, Yekaterinburg, Tver Region, Tomsk, Ufa, Cheboksary, Nizhny Novgorod, Nizhny Novgorod Region, Kaliningrad Region, Kemerovo, Kirov Region and Rostov-on-Don.
The total revenue of the top 50 participants is approximately 1.09 billion Euro (81.06 billion rubles) or 58% of the total Russian PPE market (according to our estimates, 1.9 billion Euro or 140 billion rubles).
