The new President of the Russian Association of Developers, Manufacturers and Suppliers of personal protective equipment (ASIZ)* was elected at the extraordinary meeting of the organization in Moscow.
49 of the 52 members of the association who attended the meeting voted for Mr. Kotov’s candidacy.
The new head of ASIZ told Getsiz.ru, that he intended to start working immediately. “Already today we will begin to deal with the proposals of ASIZ members and other market participants. And next week, on Tuesday, the first meeting of the renewed Council of the Association will take place. There we plan to discuss the upcoming tasks, to specify the challenges that the market and the realities have set for us,” Mr. Kotov said.
Vladimir Kotov graduated from MEPhI (National Research Nuclear University) in 1993 (specialty “Engineering physicist”), was the founder of the Rosspace group — one of the leaders of the Russian workwear and PPE market (from 1993 to 2011), for three years (2013-2016) he worked as the Deputy Head of the Shatura municipal district of the Moscow region. His previous position: Director of Development at «Moskabelmet» GC. He has an MBA degree.
The Russian Association of PPE manufacturers (ASIZ), established in 2001, is a member of the European Safety Federation (ESF). The Association includes 80 largest companies of the Russian PPE market. The members of the Association among others are Vostok-Service, Tekhnoavia, Energocontract, Moderam, Zelinsky Group, Russian branches of 3M, Honeywell, UVEX, Ansell and many others. ASIZ Association holds annually the largest international OSH exhibition in Russia – called BiOT).
