Rosneft Company announced a major purchase of workwear. Information about this is posted on the company’s website. The initial (maximum) contract price in the tender documentation is not given. Getsiz.ru estimates that it is about 2.3 billion rubles (ca. 30.7 million Euro).
The oil company intends to purchase 120.6 thousand sets of working clothes, including 69.6 thousand winter and 47.3 thousand summer suits, as well as 3.7 thousand raincoats.
All garments are to be made of FR fabrics, except 2 thousand sets (1.4 thousand winter and 568 summer suits) for BP gas stations.
It is assumed that about 40 percent of the suits — 45 thousand (24.6 thousand winter and 20.4 thousand summer sets) will be made of aramid fabrics, the rest of cotton or blended fabrics.
The winter FR suits are to be delivered with FR sweaters and summer FR suits are to be completed with FR shirts.
Applications for the tender will be accepted until October 31. The results will be announced during November.
Under the terms of the purchase the winner shall deliver the clothes to Rosneft within three months: from January to March 2019 and more than a half in January at that.
We should note that the feasibility of delivering products in such a short time seems to be rather questionable. The production of fabrics and accessories for such a huge quantity of workwear alone will require 3-4 months and tailoring could take up to 1.5-2 months more.
